Vehicle Technician; Taylors Ford Service

Location: Taylors Select & Ford Service, Berry Way, Skegness
Hours: 8.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday, no weekend work
Salary: Vehicle Technician - Up to £36,000 OTE / Senior Vehicle Technician - Up to £40,000 OTE

Due to continued success, we are expanding our workshop team at Taylors Ford in Skegness. We’re looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician, with a Senior role available for someone with the right experience.

We operate a small, dedicated team within our Ford Service Centre, built on long-standing relationships with our valued local customers. As a family-run business, we take great pride in delivering exceptional service and workmanship, supported by a long-serving and stable management team.

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of workshop activities, including servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance to Ford manufacturer standards.

We are seeking someone with at least 2 years of experience as a Vehicle Technician. Our Senior role is suited to a candidate with experience in diagnostics and working at Master Technician or Senior Technician level.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Completing servicing, maintenance, and repair work efficiently and accurately
• Performing diagnostic checks and identifying faults effectively
• Carrying out warranty and recall work to manufacturer guidelines
• Ensuring all work meets the highest quality and safety standards
• Supporting the smooth running of a small, supportive team

Additionally, as a Senior Technician:

• Performing advanced diagnostics and fault-finding
• Overseeing complex repair and maintenance work to Ford standards
• Supporting and mentoring other technicians where needed

• At least 2 years’ experience in a technician role
• Skilled in diagnostics (for Senior Technician level)
• Professional, organised, and focused on quality
• Eager to develop through Ford manufacturer training at the Henry Ford Academy
