Position: Welder / Fabricator (Subcontractor)
Job Description Tekko Fabrication Ltd is seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team on a subcontract basis. The successful candidate will carry out fabrication and welding work both in our Sittingbourne workshop and on various client sites, including asphalt plants, aggregate facilities, and power station sites. This role requires a skilled and reliable individual who can work independently, maintain high standards of workmanship, and follow all relevant safety procedures.

Role Responsibilities

Job Description
• Carry out high-quality welding and fabrication work on steel components and structures
• Use a range of welding and cutting techniques including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding
• Operate gas cutting and plasma cutting equipment where required
• Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
• Assemble fabricated components and structures accurately
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and structural integrity
• Follow all health and safety procedures on site and in the workshop Requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in welding and metal fabrication
• Valid CSCS card
• Working at Heights certificate
• Confined Space certificate
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques
• Strong understanding of metals, fabrication processes, and material properties
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Good knowledge of workplace safety procedures in fabrication and industrial environments Desirable
• Additional welding or fabrication certifications
• Experience working on industrial or plant sites Location Workshop based in Sittingbourne, with work carried out across various client sites.
