To strengthen our team in Puratos Fourayes, near Sittingbourne, Kent, we are looking for a:

Quality Controller

Reporting to the Technical Manager and working in conjunction with the production supervisors, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurate labelling of the finished products (fillings/jams/mince meats), following the production plan and ensuring that the customers’ food safety and quality expectations are met.

• Produce product labels with the correct information and required print quality.
• Ensure the correct product/quantity for each customer is produced in line with the Production plan.
• Monitor and safeguard the quality and food safety of the finished product, recording quality scores on the relevant documents.
• Carry out hourly metal detector tests for each production line.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• The successful candidate should have high levels of numeracy and literacy and, will ideally have previous experience of FMCG or food manufacturing and machine operation, a certificate in basic food hygiene and HACCP would be desirable, though not essential.
• Effective communication with other staff members.
• Flexibility and multi-tasking
• Due to our rural location and the shift pattern, you will need to have your own means of transport to the site.

• Pay: £12.32 per hour.
• Working pattern:
  Core hours are Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Alternating weeks working 06:00 – 14:00 1 week and 14:00 – 22:00 the following week.
