Location - Sittingbourne, Kent
Temporary – Permanent
Salary - £13.04 per hour – Overtime is paid at time and a half.
Shift patterns available:
Fixed shift - 6 am-2 pm or 8am-4pm
My client, a prominent player in the metal finishing industry, is actively seeking to hire a paint prepper to join their expanding team.
Full training is provided; however, the ideal candidate will be able to use a variety of hand tools, including hand grinders, drills, and wire cutters.
Duties and responsibilities for the role of Paint Prepper
* General handling of metal products
* Hand wiring and grinding of products
* Involvement in the metal finishing process
* Inspection of products to ensure that excellent quality products are produced for customers
* Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
* Manual handling – heavy lifting will be part of this position
Person specification for the role of Paint Prepper
* Positive with a can-do attitude
* Happy to work in a physically demanding position
* Able to work as part of a team
* Good communication skills
* Previous experience working in manufacturing, construction, production, yard operations or similar roles
