The Senior Management Accountant plays a key role in providing accurate financial insights to support strategic decision‑making. This position is responsible for management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, while partnering closely with senior stakeholders on M&A and onboarding businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee balance sheet reviews, accruals, and provisions
- Support statutory accounts and audit processes
- Lead the hub’s mergers and acquisitions while driving a seamless onboarding process.
- Manage, motivate and review work of a team of 2 in accounts payable
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts with accurate commentary and variance analysis
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Cashflow forecasting
- Extensive experience in management accounting within a complex or fast‑paced environment
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture
- Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, and compliance
- Solid Microsoft Excel capability is important, with scope to build further.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant experience in a management accounting or finance business partnering role
- Experience of Xero, Netsuite and CCH desirable
