The below job description will outline this position of:
Mechanical Technician

Typically, this person will become a Service Engineer joining a busy workshop team, working primarily in-house, but with occasional site/field work. You will be involved in the repair, overhaul, maintenance and servicing of marine mechanical driveline equipment. This is a great opportunity to broaden your mechanical experience within specialist applications, backed by strong brands and an experienced team within an international group.

Duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Technician:

* You will:
Strip, examine, diagnose, and repair customer equipment in the workshop as directed by the Workshop Manager/Foreman.

* Carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing at customer premises or other sites when required.

* Work on a wide range of marine and off-highway driveline systems and components.

* Adhere to all company working practices, safety standards and reporting procedures.

* Complete all required job documentation and any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements for the Mechanical Technician:

* Recognised qualification or proven industry experience in mechanical engineering.

* Comprehensive engineering knowledge and strong awareness of safety requirements.

* Sound knowledge of general engineering equipment service and repair

* Competent in using measuring equipment.

* Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems beneficial.

* Full driving licence.
