Are you motivated by the chance to change lives through education? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Maths Tutor to work within a prison education setting in Sittingbourne, delivering high-quality maths teaching to adult learners in custody.

You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths sessions from Entry Level to GCSE (or equivalent)
• Support learners with a wide range of prior educational experiences and abilities
• Develop learners' confidence, employability skills and functional numeracy
• Differentiate work to meet diverse learning needs and goals
• Track progress, complete assessments and maintain accurate records
• Work collaboratively with prison education and custodial staff to promote positive learning
• Create a calm, respectful and safe classroom environment

You will have:

• A recognised teaching or tutoring qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
• Strong subject knowledge in Maths
• Experience working with challenging or disengaged learners (desirable)
• The ability to build trusting, professional relationships
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
