Cover Supervisor and Pastoral Support (Education) Salary: £23,000 £ 27,500 per annum Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location:

Norwich (travel across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex)

Hours:

40 hours per week, 08:30am 17:00pm, Monday to Friday, 40 weeks per year About the Role Eleven 11 Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Cover Supervisor and Pastoral Support to join their education team. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting learners, assisting with daily operations, and ensuring teaching sessions and activities run smoothly across alternative provision locations.

You will provide session cover, pastoral support, exam assistance, invigilation, and general operational support, helping young people engage, learn, and thrive in their education. Seeking a calm, adaptable, and approachable individual who:
Enjoys working with learners and building positive professional relationships Can manage multiple tasks and use their initiative in a dynamic environment Is flexible and responsive to changes, especially at short notice Has a good understanding of IT and learning platforms Understands safeguarding, confidentiality, and GDPR Wants to make a meaningful difference in the welfare and development of young people Qualifications & Experience Experience in education support, pastoral care, or customer-facing roles Administrative skills including record-keeping, handling enquiries, and using MIS or databases Familiarity with the UK Curriculum and educational environments GCSEs (or equivalent Level 2 qualifications) in English and Maths Willingness to travel as required (Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex) Desirable:
Experience in alternative education settings Previous pastoral or learner supervision experience Personal Attributes Friendly, approachable, and professional Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively Calm, adaptable, and responsive under pressure Committed to supporting a positive learner experience

Key Responsibilities Deliver session cover to support effective teaching and learning Promote learner engagement and perform welfare support checks Provide administrative and learning resource assistance Support learners and staff with digital access and online learning Assist with exams, assessments, and day-to-day centre operations Licence/Certification:
