Junior Estimator
📍Sittingbourne | 💰 Up to £40,000 per annum | 🏗 Residential Construction Projects up to £2.5m
Hill McGlynn is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established regional building contractor who specialises in housing extensions, refurbishments, and new build residential construction. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, our client is looking to appoint a Junior Estimator to join their expanding commercial team, to be based out of their Sittingbourne office.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their estimating career who is looking to develop within a supportive and experienced team, working on projects valued up to £2.5 million.

The Role
As Junior Estimator, you will support the commercial team in preparing competitive and accurate tenders across a range of residential construction projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation
Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
Supporting take-offs and measurement exercises
Assisting in value engineering exercises
Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers Requirements
Previous experience in construction estimating (including placement or assistant level)
Background within residential construction (extensions, refurbishments or new builds preferred)
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
A construction-related qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) is advantageous What's on Offer
Salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience)

Additional Information / Benefits
