We are recruiting for 2x (35 hours per week) full‑time positions and 1x (14 hours per week) part‑time position.
Southern Housing is investing in the growth of our rent capability and we’re looking for a Rent Team Co‑ordinator to lead the critical tenancy‑related financial functions that make a real difference for our residents. In this role, you’ll own the delivery of rent reviews, charges and compliance with an unwavering focus on accuracy and legislative/policy alignment. You’ll pair operational precision with strategic insight to strengthen housing affordability, uphold regulatory compliance and bring financial transparency to life.
You’ll collaborate across Finance, Housing and IT, safeguarding the integrity of rent‑related data and driving continuous improvement in our systems and processes. From leading rent reviews across all tenures and setting initial/relet rents, to maintaining fair rent registrations and performing market‑aligned analyses, your work will shape the future of our department and the service our residents receive.
Location & working pattern: Sittingbourne office base, with hybrid working when appropriate and agreed with your manager. Expect to attend your main office at least two days per week, with occasional travel to other offices for stakeholder meetings.
What you’ll do- Specialist in tenancy‑related financial operations, leading critical functions that ensure rent reviews, charges and compliance activities are carried out accurately and in accordance with legislative and policy standards.
- 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
- Proficient with Sun systems or similar purchase order system.
- Experience with Proactis or similar purchase order system.
- Experience with Housing Enterprise or similar housing management software.
- Previous experience in a large organisation, preferably social housing.
- Solid understanding of core business processes and finance workflows.
- Proven ability to manage high‑volume workloads under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative, cross‑team approach.
