Carpenter, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Summary

This position will work with the carpentry team to ensure assigned work projects are completed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers.
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings and guidelines
• Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety.
• Ability to interact professionally and communicate with employees with expectations and direction regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies and procedures, permits, safety, quality control and other performance standards.
• Understand project specifications, and the scope of work and see that they are fully performed in the field.
• Cleans up worksite debris.
• Special projects may be assigned as required by the business.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• 1 year work experience in carpentry.
• Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications.
• Ability to safely operate machinery.
• Must pass a security background check and DOT drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar laborer, support, or technician role
• Valid US driver's license and a clean driving record.

Environmental Conditions

• Environmental conditions generally include cool inside temperature, low to high level inside lighting, moderate to loud noise levels, all weather conditions, and frequent use of required personal protective equipment.
• Work in a warehouse. May be dusty, colder environment, occasional outdoor work.

• Ability to walk on uneven deck surfaces crossing from vessel to vessel.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and sometimes lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
