Overview
The Shop Assistant supports the daily operations of the shop by assisting Mechanics, Field Crews, and the Shop Manager's. This role ensures the shop remains clean, organized, and fully stocked to support efficient and safe workflows. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
Responsibilities- Shop Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. Help maintain company vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and ready for use. Perform miscellaneous tasks and duties as assigned.
- Shop and Crew Support: Assist the Inventory and Shop Manager’s with daily tasks and shop operations. Support the shop mechanics, concrete crew, drivers, and crane and rigging crew with equipment and tool needs. Ensure crews are equipped with the necessary tools and equipment; run errands as needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures during all operations. Comply with company policies, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Teamwork and Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations. Provide courteous and professional service during interactions with clients and vendors. Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions. Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and punctuality.
- Full-time Monday–Friday; typical start time of 7:00am, with occasional overtime

- Valid and Current Driver's License is required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing for extended periods
- Strong organizational and time management skills
