Carlson & Stewart Refrigeration, Inc. is a Midwest leader in industrial and commercial refrigeration and is seeking a full-time Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technician to join our Sioux Falls team. This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys working on a variety of equipment, solving customer challenges, and working as part of a professional, safety-focused team.

The Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and installation of ammonia (NH3) refrigeration systems. Successful candidates will be able to troubleshoot system issues and perform necessary repairs and installations while working independently in the field.

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system‑related issues
• Perform installations and system repairs using ammonia refrigerants
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships
• Work independently and as part of a professional service team
• Participate in on‑call rotation, including nights and weekends as required

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

• 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems required
