Join Gil Haugan Construction as a Junior Mechanic. We are looking for a self‑motivated professional with a 2‑year degree or at least 3 years experience in automotive or heavy equipment repair.

Repair and maintain a variety of equipment, from small gas engines and small equipment to diesel engines on large construction machinery. Ensure all company equipment meets industry standards, is safe to operate, and reliable for use on job sites.

• Repair and maintain small gas engines, small equipment, and diesel engines on large construction equipment.
• Ensure all equipment and vehicles are safe to operate and reliable for job site use.
• Coordinate with external repair shops for tasks that cannot be self‑performed.
• Advise company leadership on the status of equipment and recommend upgrades when necessary.

• 2‑year degree in a related field or at least 3 years of experience with automotive or heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of small gas engines, diesel engines, and construction equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with repair shops and advise company leadership.
• Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic.
