Turf Sales Representative

Location:

Sioux Falls, SD

Base salary plus commission (based on experience).

Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships and expand customer pipelines.
  • Implement strategies to increase sales and profit by prospecting within the defined territory.
  • Create customer‑specific proposals based on detailed needs analysis.
  • Conduct market research to produce competitive comparisons.
  • Develop and maintain expertise on industry trends and best practices.
  • Maintain sales management information for all customers in the assigned territory.
  • Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment.
  • Conduct new equipment field demonstrations.
  • Monitor trends in customer business activities and provide timely communication to management.
  • Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and evaluate equipment properly for trading purposes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with purchasing new and used goods.
  • Attend applicable sales training events and seminars.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in agricultural or outdoor power equipment.
  • Experience developing and winning new business in a highly competitive environment.
  • Self‑driven prospector who actively cultivates and closes new business opportunities using effective questioning and solution‑selling skills.
  • Exceptional communication and sales presentation skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with a diverse range of people.
  • Unwavering integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to travel across the assigned sales territory to grow relationships.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to meet physical demands (standing, walking, lifting, etc.).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
