Intra‑Cellular Therapies (ITC) is headquartered in Bedminster, NJ, and focuses on bringing innovative therapeutics for central nervous system disorders to patients. Launched its first commercial product in CNS in 2020, ITC continues to expand its pipeline through Phase III. The acquisition by Johnson & Johnson strengthens its position as a leading neuroscience company.
Job Responsibilities- Recruit and select neuroscience sales representatives and oversee their training and development.
- Ensure all representatives meet or exceed product and brand strategy training targets, including approved product attribute/claims, competitive awareness, and disease‑state management strategies.
- Set ambitious performance and productivity objectives that support business goals and meet or exceed district field deliverables.
- Provide consistent feedback and coaching to enhance scientific and disease‑state expertise.
- Coach daily by completing field coaching summaries and leading mid‑year and annual feedback discussions.
- Lead strategic analyses of geography, uncover key growth opportunities, and manage resource allocation efficiently.
- Conduct regular field visits to assess performance, coach, and support career growth.
- Monitor regional data, update business plans, and develop strategies to maximize performance while ensuring appropriate use of promotional resources.
- Collaborate with functional areas to identify and respond to local opportunities and customer needs.
- Work with the Regional Sales Director to develop and maintain local business plans that achieve KPI goals and support sales objectives.
- Complete all required company and job‑related training within timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience, with launch and CNS experience highly preferred.
- At least 2+ years of field sales management experience.
- Strong self‑motivation, initiative, decision‑making judgment, collaboration, resilience, and adaptability.
- Demonstrated success translating vision and strategy into tactical plans and executing localized business plans.
- Experience interacting with KOLs, organized customers, and managed‑care organizations.
- Effective communication, presentation, and decision‑making skills; ability to motivate and energize a team.
- Strong understanding of customer segments, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and neuroscience analytics.
- Management of all required administrative work.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% or as needed.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
