Tran Source Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing company representing Mack Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment, along with serving as a dealer for multiple other product lines that support the On Highway, Construction and Agriculture industries. Due to growth, we are currently hiring a Heavy Duty Truck Sales Representative. The ideal candidate should have truck and/or equipment sales experience and a knowledge of the truck industry.
Responsibilities:- Generating and increasing sales of heavy duty trucks, including used, refurbished, and new trucks within their defined area of responsibility.
- Providing a high‑quality level of service to both outside customers and internal departments.
- Participating in trade shows and conventions while working in conjunction with other sales staff and our marketing team.
- Attaining the sales and gross profit objectives set by their manager.
- Calling on prospective customers and assigned accounts within the assigned territory.
- Explaining features and demonstrating operation of vehicles in the showroom or on the road.
- Computing and quoting sales price, including tax, trade‑in allowance, and financing requirements.
- Preparing sales orders and sales contracts.
- Arranging for delivery and completing all warranty registrations for vehicles.
- Maintaining a safe work environment.
- Identifying and developing new opportunities for all Tran Source product lines.
- Continuously learning more about the industry, the company, and the products Tran Source sells.
- Completing assigned training in a timely manner.
- Maintaining a professional appearance.
- Committed to 100% customer satisfaction.
- Solid experience in call control, account development, time and territory management.
- Strong aptitude for sales.
- Preferred prior sales experience in the trucking or construction industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs.
- Strong customer‑expectation management.
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with all Microsoft Office products; efficient use of Outlook.
- Insurable driving record and ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Valid driver’s license.
