Pomegranate Market is a locally owned natural foods store in Sioux Falls, dedicated to healthy living, organic ingredients, and exceptional customer service. Our goal is to create a welcoming and uplifting shopping experience for every guest who walks through our doors. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team and help make that happen.

As a Cashier, you are the face of Pomegranate Market—greeting customers, efficiently processing transactions, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. You’ll also help maintain a clean, organized front end, assist customers with questions, and support team members throughout the store.

• Provide warm, courteous, and professional customer service to all guests.
• Accurately and efficiently process transactions using our POS system, including cash, credit, and gift card sales.
• Handle returns, exchanges, and special transactions according to store policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout lanes, bagging stations, and front entrance area.
• Restock impulse and promotional items near the registers.
• Answer customer questions and provide general store and product information.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about customer concerns or inventory needs.
• Follow all cash handling and loss prevention procedures.
• Assist with price checks and ensure correct pricing on all scanned items.
• Support other departments with light stocking, bagging, or carryout assistance when needed.
• Complete daily opening and closing duties for the front end.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support smooth store operations.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and use of hands/fingers to handle products and operate POS equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English with customers and team members.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle cash accurately.

Shifts vary by need and assignment Monday–Sunday during our hours of operation. Cashiers are typically scheduled for 4–8 hour shifts during operating hours. All staff are expected to maintain regular and punctual attendance, adhering to assigned schedules and communicating promptly about any requested schedule changes.

• 16 years of age or older
• Previous retail, grocery, or customer service experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
• Friendly, positive attitude with a focus on teamwork and customer care.
