Retail Sales Associate

Overview

We are seeking entry-level, full-time Retail Sales Associate for pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging with customers, and assisting with sales, loans, and other transactions. The position offers hourly pay plus commission based on productivity.

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate. Pay includes an hourly wage and potential commission. Earnings may be affected by location, qualifications, and experience. The role involves working with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, and other items (firearms in FFL locations where applicable).

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Handle sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Process cash and negotiable items following established procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; contribute to a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training and perform other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting as required by law.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Must be 18 years or older;
  High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, be team-oriented, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines; basic math skills.
• Cash handling experience preferred; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays; ability to work at multiple locations as needed.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit. Some positions may offer additional earnings opportunities within the overall compensation package. Details provided during the interview process.
