Salary Range: $15.50 - $22.50

• The Food Service Assistant is responsible for monitoring and recording the proper temperature of food.
• Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area.
• Prepare and serve food items, restock food areas, and clean and sanitize equipment.
• Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register.
• Comply with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service.
• Provide outstanding customer service and effectively communicate with patrons and co-workers.
• Demonstrate ability to establish effective working relationships.
• Maintain quality control standards; operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators and freezers. Preferably, display experience working in the food industry.
• Possess the ability to work independently when necessary and a basic understanding of food safety and sanitation processes.
• Demonstrate the ability to be on feet for the majority of the day and walk long distances.

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• Previous customer service experience; retail counting and reconciliation of money; knowledge of food service preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions; basic math.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Depending upon location of hire, Serv Safe may be required within a designated time frame.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending upon location requirements.
