• Responsible for the coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other interventions.
• Requires excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize/triage the needs of the patients and the practice.
• Occasionally works in emergent patient care situations requiring critical thinking and prompt assessment skills.
• Performs age-related patient assessment and intervention as well as scheduling tests and interventions per provider order.
• Provides individualized nursing care to patients across the age continuum in an ambulatory setting using the professional nursing process.
• Cares for patients in all phases of specific states including assessment, disease maintenance, treatment, and follow-up as patients move in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Must have working knowledge of electronic medical records.
• May work with or participate with or without a provider in hospital and on hospital patients and may take call with the provider, as needed.
• Abides by respective healthcare agency s policies and delivers a high quality of service as described by customers.
• Must be skilled in assessment and triage of patients with various conditions and devices, in person and via electronic communication.
• Collaborates with providers and delivers appropriate assistance during surgical and non-surgical procedures.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, AACN, ACEN, and NLN CNEA. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring, and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific licensure, competencies and certifications.
