LPN - Luther Manor - PT Straight Nights at Good Samaritan

Location:

Sioux Falls, SD

• Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Provider, or physician.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and occupy the full scope of nursing expertise as per the care plan.
• Perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provide needed care.
• Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively to emergent situations.
• Ensure the health, comfort and safety of residents; administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed and document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Maintain effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public; work as a member of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Counsel residents, family members or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans; support self-care programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program with Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure. An Associate degree is preferred.
• If required for IV therapy/management: meet North Dakota requirements (AASPN program with IV therapy or an approved IV Therapy course).
• Possess an unencumbered LPN license and maintain required competencies and certifications; complete annual CEUs and department training.
• Clinical experience across the lifespan or a minimum of 400 hours as an LPN at another facility; specific roles may have additional education or experience requirements.
• Details may vary by position; adhere to facility requirements for licensure and practice.
• State or multi-state licensure privileges as applicable.
