Leadership Annual Giving Officer

Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Leadership Annual Giving Officer builds meaningful relationships with donors giving $1,000+ annually. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, soliciting, and stewarding leadership-level donors through a mix of personal outreach and digital engagement to grow philanthropic support for USD.

• Manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving prospects and donors.
• Conduct donor visits and outreach to assess interest, capacity, and readiness to give.
• Engage donors through personalized outreach including email, phone, social media, video, and in-person or virtual meetings.
• Develop and execute tailored strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts at the $1,000+ level.
• Collaborate with fundraising, marketing, and stewardship colleagues to support integrated donor engagement.
• Maintain accurate donor records and activity reports in the CRM.

• Strong communicator who enjoys relationship-based work.
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, communications, or business development preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; nonprofit or higher education experience is a plus.
• Full-time, exempt position.
• Regional and occasional overnight travel required.
• Remote-eligible within close proximity to Vermillion or Sioux Falls.
