HVAC Fabricator

Overview

HVAC Fabricator.

Fabrication Shop Manager.

Position Overview:

The HVAC Fabricator is responsible for constructing, assembling, and performing HVAC fabrication tasks as directed by the Fabrication Shop Manager. This role requires exceptional skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with the standards set by Midwestern Mechanical. The shop fabricator will be making various sizes & types of Ductwork and Duct fittings from drawings and preparing them for installation in the field or shipping.

• Adhere to Midwestern Mechanical’s safety, conduct, and quality policies.
• Ensure fabrication tasks are completed on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to manage equipment use and material handling, ensuring optimal use of raw materials.
• Foster positive relationships with shop, office, and field staff.
• Assist with off-site field work as needed.

• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Strong hand and arm strength with fine motor skills, capable of gripping and holding objects.
• Ability to use power tools, including those requiring overhead operation.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Comfort with climbing ladders, scaffolding, and working in various body positions (kneeling, crouching, reaching, etc.).
• Able to perform repetitive motion tasks and work in noisy, dusty, and potentially hazardous environments.
• Ability to work with various pieces of equipment (shear, plasma table, brake, Pittsburg machine).
