Reports to: Manager of Underwriting
Classification: Full Time, Exempt

JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective

Qualified candidates will possess expert level knowledge of ECGs policies and procedures and be self-driven. As an UW Processing Supervisor, you will be responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, overseeing, and motivating the Underwriting Processing team. In addition, you will serve as the liaison between the Underwriting Processing team and organizational management.

Essential Functions
  • Perform all essential functions of the Underwriting Processing role.
  • Coordinate with the HR department to interview and hire applicants for open positions.
  • Perform on-site training as needed during onboarding of new hires / third party resources or during process changes. Develop and maintain training documents as they relate to the UW processing. Identify training opportunities and provide relevant and constructive performance feedback to team.
  • Conduct Annual Performance evaluations.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, calibration exercises, quality monitoring exercises, and one on one meetings.
  • Seek team members’ feedback and provide suggestions to UW Leadership team.
  • Monitor and report technical issues through Help Desk and escalat to Manager when necessary.
  • Audit UW processing team outcomes for consistency and adherence to ECGs policy and procedures.
  • Team up with department leaders/supervisors to communicate staffing, volume or processing updates when necessary.
  • Work directly with the sales team, business development team, tech team, and other parties internally and externally to resolution challenges.
  • Identify, and elevate issues or exception requests to management for approval.
  • Monitor volume and make adjustments to breaks and schedules when necessary.
  • Review and approve timecards, schedules, and PTO requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility

The UW Processing Supervisor will have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

  • Must be technically savvy with strong, but basic Office and Internet skills.
