Maintenance Porter - Driving

Overview

SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company enabling checkout‑free parking experiences. You drive in and drive out—no tickets, machines, or apps.

• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks using brooms, mops, brushes, and hand tools.
• Walk the garage daily to note and correct maintenance problems.
• Sweep and pick up around entrances, exits, stairwells, booths, offices, and restrooms.
• Empty trashcans in the garage, booth, and office.
• Paint surfaces as directed to keep poles, signs, doors, walls, curbs, islands, gates, and other painted surfaces neat and clean.
• Replace burned‑out bulbs and apply oil absorbent to oil spills.
• Submit repair or maintenance requests and check safety items such as gate arms.
• Check ticket spitters and gates daily for proper operation, ticket supply, accuracy, and general appearance.
• Provide ticket and record gate counters to the manager.
• Keep an inventory of janitorial supplies and maintain a sweep sheet.
• Operate outdoor equipment such as weed eaters, lawnmowers, and snow blowers as applicable.
• Shovel, plow, or blow snow from entrance or exit ramps and designated areas.
• Report violations of company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the facility manager in a timely manner.
• Practice customer satisfaction behaviors and assist customers within the facility as directed.
• Resolve customer complaints independently or with a supervisor.
• Maintain a neat appearance and arrive in uniform on all scheduled shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent; facility maintenance, electrical, or painting experience may be required.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• Availability to work third shift and/or weekends as required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and customer‑service orientation.
• Adaptability to changes and unexpected events.
• Sound judgment and professionalism under pressure.
• English literacy for written and spoken interactions.

Tasks include frequent hand and finger use, communication with customers, standing and walking for long periods (up to 8 hours), climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, turning, and bending. The employee must lift and move 50 pounds or more regularly. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment. Ability to work in dust, chemicals, and extreme weather conditions is essential.
