The cloud team has just built enterprise landing zones in Azure and AWS. This team addresses security findings and is migrating more than a dozen legacy workloads into our LZ's. Sanford provides training and certifications for our cloud engineers.

Applies extensive knowledge and skills to complete all aspects of cloud‑based systems from start to finish. Supports the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cloud services and products. Creates and maintains operational processes and documentation related to cloud product deployments. Deploys and administers automated performance and quality monitors. Implements and executes system automation scripts for cloud infrastructure, resources, and configuration. Supports migrations of on‑premise products to cloud.

Interfaces between application development, application support, and infrastructure support teams. Participates in planning, implementation, and growth of our Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Administers access authentication methods and role‑based access. Applies access roles and restrictions to cloud resources according to infrastructure and security policy. Ensures that all systems comply with security and vulnerability standards. Informs other teams on cloud‑based initiatives, providing associated training or documentation when necessary.

Ensures application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design. Troubleshoots issues, identifies root causes, fixes, documents problems, and implements preventive measures. Participates in the software development lifecycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance. At the direction of Sr Cloud Engineers or architects, implements technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud applications and resources.

Participates in on‑call rotation and provides hands‑on support during emergencies, outages, and service transitions. Writes technical documentation (platform architecture, strategy, engineering) and works on multiple concurrent complex projects.

• Associate Degree in computer science, math, engineering, or related field required.
• Must have 4 years in Windows and Linux server or infrastructure system administration in a large‑scale environment.
• Scripting skills in Powershell, Bash and Python are preferred.
• Experience with version control repositories, configuration management frameworks and CI/CD pipeline automation tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals to support Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Networks, IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS.
