Responsible for administering, modifying, maintaining, repairing, and documenting various organization operating and support systems. These systems will include, but are not limited to, Microsoft Windows, Unisys MCP, Fiserv Applications, and other proprietary banking platforms.

What you will do
  • Provides accurate and courteous assistance to end-users utilizing Performance Data Center (PDC) systems, communicating in a step-by-step manner or using a documented workflow.
  • Trains personnel on information security as it relates to the mainframe computer and PC Network system.
  • Possesses a strong working knowledge of reports and creates reports as requested by departments with ability to resolve errors and/or discrepancies.
  • Maintains knowledge on the various services PDC offers.
  • Completes daily tasks regarding workstation operations in a timely manner. This involves completing all tasks listed on the daily log sheet and help tickets to ensure all necessary tasks are completed.
  • Performs preventative and demand maintenance including patches on all IT systems as required.
  • Documents help tickets and responds to end-users in a professional manner, while maintaining help tickets assigned to them.
  • Provides general and specific troubleshooting on all systems.
  • Assists with management of inventory process and ensure applicable hardware/software is accurately maintained.
  • Recommends technology solutions to end-users, and trains on applications as needed.
  • Demonstrates appropriate judgment in risk mitigation and escalates issues appropriately, escalates suspicious activity to management immediately upon identification.
  • Adheres to all applicable policies and procedures, and ensures proper handling of sensitive information.
  • Maintains professionalism in interaction with others including Data Center clients and vendors. Maintains professional dress.
  • Completes work with care and accuracy.
  • Keeps work area well organized and professional.
  • Takes ownership of problems and follows through to the solution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you will need
  • Minimum Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Help Desk, IT Admin, or similar role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (Ethernet, LAN/WAN dynamics) and Microsoft application management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others who have varying levels of IT knowledge, including end-users, to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to read and properly interpret technical documents, such as operating, installation, and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to write and interpret reports and correspondence.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Position subject to occasional non-standard work hours.
