Requirements

Must have:
  • Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-2 years of technical support or help desk experience, or relevant internship
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory user management
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Comfort with using power tools and hand tools
  • Capability to lift and transport items weighing up to 75 pounds regularly
  • Willingness to travel to client locations in SD, ND, MN, and NE, primarily for day trips with occasional overnight stays
  • Exceptional attention to detail, thoroughness, natural follow-up skills, outstanding communication abilities, and strong documentation skills
  • Proficient problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Professional demeanor with a strong customer service focus

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and remote assistance tools
  • Conduct onsite installations, support visits, and project-related tasks throughout the region
  • Install and configure workstations, servers, networking devices, and peripherals
  • Manage network cabling installation and termination as needed
  • Physically mount and rack server and network equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
  • Oversee and prioritize support tickets in our ticketing system
  • Meticulously document all support interactions and resolutions
  • Proactively follow up on open support tickets to ensure complete resolution
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 engineers as necessary
  • Assist with user account management in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
  • Provide end-user support for password resets, email issues, and application troubleshooting
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in healthcare IT settings
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support needs
  • Support workstation setup, deployment, and configuration activities
  • Monitor system alerts and address automated notifications
  • Contribute to knowledge base documentation and process enhancements
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and installation records
