Requirements
Must have:- Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 1-2 years of technical support or help desk experience, or relevant internship
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with Active Directory user management
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Comfort with using power tools and hand tools
- Capability to lift and transport items weighing up to 75 pounds regularly
- Willingness to travel to client locations in SD, ND, MN, and NE, primarily for day trips with occasional overnight stays
- Exceptional attention to detail, thoroughness, natural follow-up skills, outstanding communication abilities, and strong documentation skills
- Proficient problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
- Professional demeanor with a strong customer service focus
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and remote assistance tools
- Conduct onsite installations, support visits, and project-related tasks throughout the region
- Install and configure workstations, servers, networking devices, and peripherals
- Manage network cabling installation and termination as needed
- Physically mount and rack server and network equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Oversee and prioritize support tickets in our ticketing system
- Meticulously document all support interactions and resolutions
- Proactively follow up on open support tickets to ensure complete resolution
- Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 engineers as necessary
- Assist with user account management in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
- Provide end-user support for password resets, email issues, and application troubleshooting
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in healthcare IT settings
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support needs
- Support workstation setup, deployment, and configuration activities
- Monitor system alerts and address automated notifications
- Contribute to knowledge base documentation and process enhancements
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and installation records
