Position Summary: Responsible to provide quality cardiac and peripheral vascular ultrasound scans as directed by the physician.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. Rotation of call days/weekends/holidays is required.
Work Environment: May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity.
Education/
Experience:
Must have an Associate of Science degree in cardiovascular ultrasound technology, or a certificate of successful completion from a school of cardiac ultrasound. 2-3 years of previous ultrasound experience preferred. Must have working knowledge of cardiac and vascular pathology.
Licensure/Certification: Must be registered in at least one modality, Cardiac or Vascular Technologist. Must be registered in both modalities within one year from being cross‑trained in both echo and vascular exams, and able to take call independently. Maintain required CME’s.
