About the RoleDirect Support Professional positions (Full‑time & Part‑time) support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Your responsibilities will center on helping clients achieve personal goals, providing daily living support, and fostering community involvement. Compensation starts at $20+ per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities- Develop, review, and support implementation of individualized care plans, including behavior, dietary, and medical instructions.
- Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting, respecting each person's choice and dignity.
- Assist with meal preparation to meet dietary plans and help with mealtime routines.
- Help clients shop, use transportation, and participate in community services and events.
- Safely transfer and reposition clients, perform lifts (up to 60 lb), and use required safety equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality and safe practice in all environments.
- Complete required training (OSHA, CPR, OMA, Relias Learning, etc.) and stay current with agency regulations.
- Complete accurate documentation in all required areas—therapies, programs, services, kitchen logs, and fabrication records.
- Assist with cleaning, laundry, and safe use of cleaning products.
- Work effectively as part of the team, communicate across shifts and departments, and attend staff meetings.
- Adhere to scheduling and attendance guidelines, contact management promptly for scheduling issues.
- Maintain alertness throughout shifts.
- Operate in awkward, flexed, and crouched positions for extended periods.
- Continuously lift >10 lb.
- Frequently kneel, crouch, stand, walk, lift >50 lb, push, pull, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
- Occasionally sit, lift >60 lb, carry, pull, push, and maintain balance.
- Occasionally crawl or climb.
High school diploma or equivalent. Sincere interest in helping people achieve personal goals. Ability to lift and transfer clients. Valid SD driver’s license with a clean driving record. Pass criminal background and drug screening. Minimum age 18 (21 to drive).
