Full-Time Patient Care Coordinator – Hartford, SD

Prairie Rehabilitation, a rehabilitation company specializing in physical, occupational, and speech therapy is seeking a full-time Patient Care Coordinator for our clinic in Hartford, SD. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is outgoing, friendly, determined, goal oriented, and committed to clinical excellence. This position will be interacting with both patients and therapists, assuring excellent communication in regards to insurance, scheduling needs, and patient concerns/feedback.

The schedule for this position is:
Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

• Greeting everyone who enters the clinic in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Collecting co-payments & co-insurance
• Answering phones and transferring/screening calls as appropriate
• Scheduling new & existing patients and making schedule adjustments as needed
• Verifying insurance coverage
• Providing accurate and clear directions to patients prior to their first visit
• Preparing and typing routine correspondence, form letters, and reports
• Setting up and maintaining filing systems and databases as applicable
• Completing forms and reports as required by the company and outside vendors and agencies
• Ensuring patient privacy by following HIPAA
• Taking care of all mail, fax, and copy requests
• Maintaining inventory of the necessary office forms and supplies
• Assisting in auditing records for ongoing compliance with medical records standards
• Other duties as assigned
