Each day, POET Bioproducts markets and transports 20,000 tons of high-quality products to customers worldwide. As part of the POET Bioproducts credit team, you will contribute to the success of sales in two primary areas:

This is an on-site role located in Sioux Falls, SD
.

Responsibilities include:

• Review and analyze credit applications to recommend appropriate lines of credit.
• Conduct financial analysis including third-party reports (D&B, bank references, credit agencies).
• Request bank and trade references from prospective customers.
• Stay up to date on risk levels in potential importing countries.
• Analyze data to recommend payment plans for past-due accounts to minimize bad debt and maximize accounts receivable collections.
• Provide multiple credit/payment options to the commercial team based on transaction specifics.
• Maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers.
• Maintain banking relationships for establishing letters of credit or other financial institution-backed credit terms.
• Collaborate with merchandising and transportation teams to respond to credit and collection concerns with existing and potential customers.
• Develop and implement collection objectives and measure their achievement.
• Plan, evaluate, implement, and continuously improve all aspects of credit and collection functions and processes.
• Support teamwork and be adaptable to other duties as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or an Associate’s degree with 3+ years of credit or collections experience.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, organization, and time management skills with a sense of urgency.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new programs.

This position operates in an office environment with an open-concept design to promote communication and collaboration in Sioux Falls.
