Civil Engineer - Construction

Overview

Wiz Recruiting is exclusively representing our client for the position of Civil Engineer - Construction. Our client is a General Contractor managing land development, home building, apartment development and commercial contracting in southeast South Dakota and Iowa.

• Working with municipalities, other engineers, surveyors, and technicians to complete engineering studies and designs, drawings, layouts, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided drafting software.
• Estimating, field investigations and inspections.
• Focus on civil designs in the following: new residential development, new apartment development, new commercial development, and redevelopment civil engineering designs.
• Project oversight from beginning to end on all projects designed by candidate.

• Licensed / Certified South Dakota Civil Engineer or EIT which will require a minimum of BS degree in Civil Engineering and related design/engineering experience.
• Knowledge of DOT and/or typical municipal standards and competence with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or comparable software.
• Requires proven technical knowledge to complete technical analysis and engineering designs.
• The ideal candidate shall be self-motivated, organized, able to communicate effectively both written and orally, able to work in a team environment, and have strong interpersonal skills.
