Reports to: Site Coordinator
Schedule: Hours of program operation are Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
POSITION SUMMARY
The Student Success Specialist will work one on one and in small groups with students to help them develop the skills they need to succeed. Primary responsibilities included responding to challenging behaviors, providing one on one and small group social skills lessons, and providing additional supervision for students with high behavioral needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT(S)
Primary Duties:
- Student Support: Assist students with strategies to improve their behavior
- Intervention and De-escalation: Offer immediate support and resources during challenging behaviors
- Collaboration: Work with Connections Coordinators, Site Coordinators and Youth Development Professionals to review, enforce and revise behavior plans
- Supervision: Provide additional supervision as needed to students with high behavior needs
- Instruction: Provide one on one and small group social skills lessons
- Respect privacy: Maintain high level of confidentiality with sensitive information
- Other duties as assigned
POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education & Experience: Must be at least 18 years old; must have current Safety-Care Prevention Training or be willing and able to complete Safety-Care Prevention Training before May 27, 2026; must have previous experience working with school-age youth.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
A. Ability to Stand, Walk, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward and above shoulders, speak and bend on a daily basis
B. Capability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 25 lbs on a daily basis
