RequirementsEducation Level: Two years of post high school education or higher, or be able to pass a standardized test approved by the state of South Dakota, for designated Education Assistant positions.
Experience Desired: Experience working with individuals with disabilities or experience with behavior management.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this job include general activity such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing and pulling throughout the school day. The position requires carrying and lifting of body weight and/or objects/equipment as well as pushing/pulling forces of individuals in wheelchairs and adaptive devices from 1 to 40 pounds continuously, 40–60 pounds frequently and from 60 to 99 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to pass a pre‑employment physical, if new hires (including transfers).
Other Requirements: Must demonstrate and pass safety competency review on a yearly basis.

Pay InformationLevel G, Starting at $18.12 + $2* = $20.12 per hour + $1,000 Sign-On Bonus!
* This position earns the Education Support Professional differential pay. Each position that qualifies for the Education Support Professional differential pay earns an additional $2 per hour.
Pay Day:
Last working day of each month, based on the payroll cutoff schedule.

Hours & FTEMonday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm with a 30‑minute unpaid break.
0.875 FTE, 35 hours per week, 9 months.
