Teacher Aide

Overview

USD Head Start is seeking a Teacher Aide for the Head Start classroom in the Harrisburg School District. Duties include supervision of children ages 3-5 in a classroom and playground environment and providing support to the Head Start teacher to assist children in reaching developmental milestones and program goals.

• Status:
  Full-time, 9.5 months (Aug. 16 – May 31 annually), benefits eligible
• Hours:
  
  40 hours per week, 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday – Friday
• Starting salary: $16.27 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, plus benefits
• Work location:
  
  Harrisburg School District
• Appointment Percent: 100%

• Child Development Associates Credential preferred
• Must have experience with young children
• Must pass fingerprint background check
