Job Description- Promote the mission and values of Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans that adhere to system curriculum maps.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Provide a variety of learning materials and resources.
- Identify and select instructional resources and methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Use relevant technology to support instruction.
- Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources, and methods.
- Observe, monitor, and evaluate student progress and performance.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, assignments, and enter grades online.
- Provide appropriate and timely feedback on work.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development.
- Provide student supervision and discipline.
- Perform pastoral duties, including student support and counseling academic issues.
- Uphold professionalism and confidentiality.
- Participate in school events, fundraisers, department and parent meetings.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents.
- Attend parent‑teacher conferences.
- Assume responsibility for classrooms and school property.
- Maintain accurate inventory of classroom materials and supplies.
- Willingness and ability to effectively communicate the Catholic Church’s teachings through ministry activities.
- Willingness and ability to act as an outstanding personal witness to the Catholic faith by living professional and personal life in accordance with Roman Catholic doctrine.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- State teaching certification.
- Demonstrate core values of the school:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Self‑motivated with high energy.
- Work daytime hours, primarily Monday‑Friday.

- Clear spoken English.
- Good hearing and ability to distinguish sounds.
- Fine hand motor skills for keyboarding, writing, grasping, holding.
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk during workday.
- Lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Intermittently bend, squat, and reach overhead.
