This position works primarily in the service shop. - Physical requirements of this role include:
- Ability to routinely move equipment up to 50 pounds by oneself and more than 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to constantly position oneself to stand, stoop, reach or kneel for extended periods of time
- Ability to frequently operate a vehicle
This position is scheduled as follows:
M - F 7:30am - 530pm
As an automotive service technician, you will be performing installation, repair and maintenance needs for our customers' vehicles. The technician is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting possible issues as well as suggesting and implementing solutions. The service technician is also responsible for communicating with other employees and operating vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (A TYPICAL DAY)- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, special service equipment and standard test drives to monitor vehicle components and systems
- Communicating with the proper service advisor so that customers can be informed of any possible additional services needed.
- Complete video MPI's on every repair.
- Maintain a clean, and safe working environment.
- Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting the work performed.
- Minimum 2 years of advanced mechanical experience
- A valid state driver's license with clean motor vehicle record
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail while working under tight timelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team oriented mindset and positive attitude
- Basic computer skills
