• Routine Maintenance: perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure diesel engines operate efficiently (e.g., changing oil and filters, checking fluid levels, inspecting belts and hoses).
• Diagnosis and Repair: diagnose problems using diagnostic tools and perform necessary repairs, including replacing faulty parts and addressing electrical, mechanical, fuel, and exhaust system issues.
• Engine Overhaul: overhaul or rebuild diesel engines as needed, including disassembly, cleaning, part replacement, and reassembly to restore performance.
• Electrical and Computer Systems: diagnose and repair issues related to modern electrical and computer systems in diesel engines.
• Welding and Fabrication: perform welding and fabrication to repair or modify components.
• Safety Compliance: ensure engines meet safety and emissions standards through inspections and adjustments.
• Record Keeping: maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for engine history and performance.
• Physical Capability: must be able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Training Participation: participate in all available training programs.
