Position: Neuroscience District Manager - Great Plains

The District Manager leads and develops a sales team that delivers high‑impact customer interactions, exceeding sales forecasts while operating within assigned budgets. They embody Intra‑Cellular’s vision of innovative treatments that improve lives of individuals with neuropsychiatric and neurologic disorders.

Job Responsibilities
  • Recruit, select and train neuroscience sales representatives, establishing a culture of trust, ethical behavior and science‑driven interactions.
  • Ensure representatives meet or exceed product and brand training targets and share best practices with internal stakeholders.
  • Set ambitious performance and productivity objectives aligned with business goals.
  • Provide consistent coaching and feedback to enhance scientific expertise and impact.
  • Deliver daily coaching through field coaching summaries and annual reviews.
  • Lead strategic analysis of geography, uncover growth opportunities, and manage resource allocation with trade‑off decisions aligned with larger regions.
  • Conduct field visits to assess performance and support development through coaching and modeling.
  • Monitor regional data sets, update business plans and tactics, and maximize performance of resources such as calls, samples, and promotional programs.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to identify local opportunities and respond to customer needs; lead customer strategy when required.
  • Work with the Regional Sales Director to develop and maintain local business plans that achieve KPI goals.
  • Complete all company and job‑related training on time.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience; launch and CNS experience highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of field sales management experience.
  • Strong motivation, decision‑making judgment, teamwork, resilience, adaptability, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success translating vision and strategy into tactical plans that drive business.
  • Experience interacting with KOLs, organized customers, and managed care organizations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and decision‑making skills.
  • Thorough understanding of customer segments, market dynamics and competitive landscape in neuroscience.
  • Strong business analytic skills to assess progress against objectives.
  • Manages all required administrative work.
  • Willing to travel up to 75% as needed.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
