Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring an active IA or compact license and previous stepdown experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Med Surg/Telemetry unit
- Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 3x12s per week
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend
- Float to the Emergency Department may be required
- Required to work every other holiday
- Uses Epic as the EMR system
- Potential to float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Provide comprehensive care and telemetry monitoring for Med/Surg patients
- Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary care team
- 16 hours of unit-based orientation provided
- Required to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
- Only 1 day of requested time off is permitted between 11/26 and 11/30, and between 12/23 and 1/2
- Active IA or compact RN license required
- At least 2 years of previous stepdown experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Must submit a valid driver’s license
- One supervisory reference from within the last 2 years required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for travel eligibility
