Position: SUPV HR SPEC (MILITARY)

IOWA AIR NATIONAL GUARD - TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION

This position is open to current on board Title 32 employees of the 185th ARW, Sioux City, Iowa Air National Guard.

Location: 185th ARW, Sioux City, Iowa.

Minimum Requirements

Experience that demonstrates the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Specialized Experience Requirements: GS-0201-12
  • 1-year specialized experience must be equivalent to at least the next lower grade.
  • Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed.
  • Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
  • Experience of an administrative nature, which involves the exercise of analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and personal responsibility, and application of a substantial body of knowledge of principles, concepts, and practices applicable to one or more fields of administration or management.
  • Experience and ability to plan, direct, and administer force support programs for wing military personnel and associate units.
  • Experience and knowledge of the basic concepts, principles, and theories of military human resources management and the ability to adapt these to meet mission requirements of the state.
  • Experience with programs associated with Base Services such as lodging, fitness, food service programs, recreational and special morale and welfare, etc.
  • Experience administering, delivering, maintaining, advising on, and adapting basic concepts, principles, and theories of military HR to the unique organizational, management, and mission requirements of military departments or organizations.
