The Position Our bank client is seeking a Bank IT Director in Sioux City, IA. The role manages specific technical aspects of third-party implementations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and with high-quality deliverables.The position offers a salary up to $160K and a benefits package. (This is not a remote role).
Bank IT Director responsibilities include:
- Oversee and direct the bank’s IT function
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure quality technology services
- Develop IT budgets and secure necessary equipment
- Align IT strategy with company goals
- Plan, deploy, and maintain IT systems
- Develop IT policies and best practices
- Oversee network and system implementations
- Manage disaster recovery operations
- Stay updated on IT trends and technologies
- Implement best practices and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Monitor threats, develop incident response plans, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Educate employees and promote security awareness
- Chair the IT Steering Committee
- Participate in the Enterprise Risk Management Committee
- Perform other committee duties as assigned

Skills and experience include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or IT
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in financial services
- At least 5 years in IT management
- CISSP and CISA certifications
- Leadership, mentoring, communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to lead organizational change and improve efficiency
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt and find workarounds
