Dietitian – PACE Program (Permanent | Days)
- Hourly Rate: $28.00 – $40.00
- Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 possible
- Shift Type: Days
- Shift Times: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Hours/Day: 8
- Schedule: Monday–Friday

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the PACE Program Manager, the Dietitian plans and provides nutritional care for PACE participants as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. This role includes assessing nutritional needs, developing and implementing nutrition care plans, and evaluating outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements. The Dietitian maintains professional competency and delivers services that support participant-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local PACE regulations, Compliance Accountability Program standards, Code of Ethics, and organizational policies and procedures
- Obtain and evaluate nutritional and medical history, laboratory data, test results, medications, diet orders, and nutritional regimens to determine participant nutritional needs
- Recommend and implement nutrition interventions to maintain or improve nutrition-related medical diagnoses
- Complete nutrition assessments per regulatory guidelines and as needed to support care planning and service delivery requests
- Instruct participants, family members, staff, and contracted providers on diet, food safety, and sanitation
- Document participant information and nutrition care plans accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Attend Interdisciplinary Team meetings daily and participate in team activities as scheduled
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education
- Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and/or Food and Nutrition meeting requirements of the American Dietetic Association
- Successful completion of an accredited internship or coordinated undergraduate program meeting American Dietetic Association guidelines
Licensure & Certifications
- Registered or registration-eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Iowa
- Current CPR / BCLS certification
- Maintains current Adult Mandatory Reporter status
- American National Standards Institute–accredited food protection/safety certification (e.g., Serv Safe Food Protection Manager or Certified Food Safety Manager), or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid auto insurance
- Effective oral and written communication skills to interact with participants, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work collaboratively within an Interdisciplinary Team environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Registered Dietitian Certification
