Sioux Center Christian School invites you to consider the opportunity to work with a dedicated faculty and staff, passionate parents, and fantastic students through the position of School Counselor (full-time), with a start date of August 1, 2026.
Sioux Center Christian School has a rich history of serving the Lord. Established in 1905, the school has educated students from a Reformed perspective for over 100 years and continues to do so today.
A dedicated faculty, staff, and board enjoy working with His covenant children, fulfilling the mission to disciple God's children by equipping them with a knowledge and understanding of Christ and His creation so that they can obediently serve God and others as they work and play.

The ideal candidate will partner with all faculty and staff members and will be someone who:
- Has a heart for God and His kids
- Partners well with parents, faculty, staff, administrators, and local agencies and works to enhance understanding of a student’s development and its impact on learning
- Is organized, flexible, patient, responsible, willing to learn, and able to recognize and celebrate students’ gifts
- Assists students with academic, emotional, social, spiritual, and/or behavioral concerns and shows concern and support for the total needs of each student, encouraging maximum growth and development into who God has created them to be
- Provides classroom instruction for assigned grade levels
- Provides orientation for new students
- Serves as a resource for students, parents, faculty, and staff
- Is uniquely qualified to provide individual and group counseling
- Is comfortable partnering with classroom teachers around student situations
- Helps students understand and celebrate their talents and gifts
- Has an understanding of the Teaching for Transformation framework, or the willingness to learn
- Has an understanding of the MTSS framework, or the willingness to learn
- Has a passion for Reformed Christian education and faith nurturing
The candidate should have a master’s degree in school counseling or a closely related field.
