Senior Manager Data Center | Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) | Oracle Singapore | 12+ years of experience Job Description
Oversee the operations and support of Oracle’s data center services across the JAPAC region, managing teams responsible for hardware maintenance, network configuration, technical support, safety compliance, vendor relations and field support.
Responsibilities- Datacenter Services Operations – Break/Fix and Hardware Maintenance
- Manage teams implementing action plans and conducting end‑to‑end on‑site hardware installation, replacement and troubleshooting.
- Oversee server upgrades, faulty storage, networking and other hardware replacements across customer sites.
- Datacenter Services Operations – Network Configuration, Installation and Augmentation
- Oversee teams implementing designed network communications, including cabling validation and networking equipment.
- Coordinate additional resources or SMEs to address highly complex issues.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Oversee data centre environments and customer operations, addressing complex trends and ensuring documented problem resolution.
- Maintain awareness of outage situations and manage major outages to secure resolution.
- Safety and Compliance
- Drive adherence to SOPs/MOPs and implement required security controls.
- Lead team compliance with health and safety guidelines at customer locations and office.
- Determine skill requirements and provide training to advance technicians.
- Stay current with industry best practices and share insights.
- Lead teams’ adherence to operational change‑control processes.
- Collaboration, Vendor Relations and Leadership
- Lead collaboration between service, development teams and external vendors to resolve complex technical problems.
- Oversee vendor and contractor service quality, ensuring SLAs are met.
- Provide quality‑assurance guidelines and best‑practice training.
- Field Support – Field On‑Premises
- Manage team to provide on‑call support and participate in regional standby rotations.
- Collaborate with field engineers and global support groups to diagnose faults affecting broader objectives.
- Handle customer service requests, resolve complaints and deliver Oracle‑standard service.

- Manage medium‑to‑large projects across teams, monitoring timelines, deliverables and budgets.
- Drive cross‑functional partnerships and coach team members on stakeholder relationships.

- Lead candidate interviews, monitor promotion eligibility and orchestrate talent resources.
- Planning & Execution
- 12 years of client‑facing, direct customer support and service, data center or related field experience.
- 4‑5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, data center services or server administration (including hyperscale cloud environments).
- 3 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
