Group Technology and Networks (GTN) has strategic intent to develop the next generation of networks utilising AI/ML. We believe AI/ML will be transformative in every aspect of the Service Planning and Service Assurance.

The position holder is responsible for shaping the AI and ML technology strategy, architecture and roadmap to deliver significant incremental benefits and foster a digital-first culture across the Opcos in alignment with the Singtel
28 strategic vision.

The role will report into the Senior Director - Group Strategy, Engineering, and Innovation (GSEI)/Network Services Development (NSD) - and will play a pivotal role in AI/ML being enabled across the Networks. The role will shape the AI/ML strategy, be accountable for alignment across the Opcos into the AOPs and delivery.

The AI/ML Strategy and Implementation role for Group Networks is a pivotal position within our organization, focused on leveraging advanced AI/ML technologies to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation of network operations. The position holder will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive AI/ML technology strategy and architecture that align with the overarching goals of Singtel
28 and collaborates with various operating companies (Opcos) to embed AI/ML capabilities across all network domains.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI/ML Strategy Development:
  Develop AI/ML technology strategy, architecture, roadmap and best practices for Singtel Group Networks and Opcos to evolve from manual processes to AI-embedded automation in Planning, Optimisation and Operations for all domains in Networks (RAN, Mobile Core, IP Transport, Fixed Access, OSS etc). The candidate will work with the domain experts in developing the strategy and aligning with the domain experts on their automation goals.
• Technical Direction and Leadership:
  Provide technical direction to drive AI/ML initiatives across Group Networks (GTN) and Opcos Networks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and integrate AI capabilities into planning, optimization, and assurance processes, fostering innovation and collaboration.
• Expertise in AI/ML Technologies and Practices:
  The position holder shall be well-versed in various AI/ML technologies and practices, including:
  • Generative AI (GenAI) technologies, including AI models (e.g., GPT-4, GPT-01, Llama, Mistral), Large Language Models (LLM), Small Language Models (SLM), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Prompt Engineering, training, inference, co-pilots, AI agents, etc.
  • ML and related technologies, including Symbolic AI (algo/rules, classification, KG etc) and Neural AI (DNN, RNN, LLM etc).
  • AI/MLOps, including lifecycle management, tooling, monitoring and CI/CD.

The position holder will be responsible for the development of the Data and Analytics Strategy for AI/ML for the Group Networks. This includes designing a strategy and architecture blueprint that aligns with Singtel Group's data management practices. The position holder will work with Group Data COE and Opcos to create and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap to support data-driven AI/ML based decision-making within Singtel Group.

This position plays a key role in ensuring the quality, security, and accessibility of data across various AI/ML use cases.

The position holder shall be well-versed in various data analytics technologies and practices, including:

• Data engineering, including data cleaning, EDA and feature engineering
• Data operations, including data processing, data pipelines, data availability, integrity and security
• Data governance, including policy, standards, quality and integrity
• Data exposure, including API, streaming (Kafka) and related storage (SQL, No

• Thought Leadership:
  Provide expert guidance on AI/ML and Operational Excellence to GTN and the Singtel Opcos.
