An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lifecycle Engineer to join our Engineering for Services team at Rolls‑Royce in Seletar, Singapore. This role is responsible for providing world‑class technical support for in‑service and delivered products, ensuring design intent is maintained throughout the product lifecycle. The position plays a critical role in enhancing safety, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness by modelling product performance, identifying deterioration mechanisms, and implementing robust solutions to support our operators in the Asia Pacific (APAC) and Greater China (GC) region.
You will also be delegated as a focal point aligned to regional operators and engine project teams based in the UK.

Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance
- Manage known and potential safety issues (SAR & RT), participating in safety boards as per the Safety Management Plan.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and business requirements, acting as a Technical Authority when delegated.
Technical Support & Issue Resolution
- Provide technical support for operational queries and arising issues.
- Lead root cause investigations, implement containment actions, and recommend corrective measures.
- Conduct technical surveillance and quality assurance audits to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
Reliability & Performance Optimization
- Set and monitor reliability targets using historical data and statistical analysis.
- Predict future safety and reliability performance through proactive monitoring, failure rate modelling and risk assessment.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities by reviewing reliability data, lifecycle engineering policies and maintenance plans.
Lifecycle Data & Health Monitoring
- Analyse and model through‑life performance, deterioration mechanisms, and service attributes.
- Gather in‑service data, drive continuous improvement, and integrate lessons learned into future designs.
- Propose and push for improvement or development of Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) diagnostics.
Technical Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and approve technical publications for customers and maintenance teams.
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to internal & external stakeholders and regulators.
- Lead cross‑functional teams, including specialists, suppliers, customers, and partners.
- Engineering or Numerical degree (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of component/system functionality and numerical methods.
- Experience in troubleshooting, problem resolution, and complex technical challenges.
- Familiarity with in‑service operations, including regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to support and lead cross‑functional teams.
