  • Ensure system design meets project requirements, offshore environmental conditions, and classification society rules.
  • Review mechanical data sheets, P&IDs, air balance studies, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in engineering coordination meetings and interface with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, structural, HSE).
Vendor Engineering & Quality Control
  • Review vendor documents including equipment GA drawings, ITPs, QA/QC plans, material specifications, test procedures and installation manuals.

  • Participate in construction readiness reviews, installation support, and commissioning planning.
  • Coordinate with offshore site teams to address HVAC issues during construction and start-up.
  • Support development and implementation of HVAC‐related quality traceability and documentation systems.
D. Documentation & Compliance
  • Ensure all HVAC engineering documents meet EPC and Client requirements
  • Prepare engineering reports, design calculations, inspection records and final as-built documentation packages.
  • Maintain accurate records for procurement, fabrication, and commissioning deliverables.
3. Qualifications & Experience
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Preferred:
Postgraduate studies in HVAC, Thermo-Fluids, or Building Services.
  • Nice to have:
Certified HVAC Engineer / ASHRAE membership / Offshore survival certificates.
Experience (10–15 years)
  • Strong experience in HVAC design and engineering for offshore oil & gas platforms, FPSOs, or large industrial facilities.
  • Proven track record in vendor engineering management and quality control for HVAC equipment (AHUs, FCUs, chillers, compressors, ventilation systems).
  • Experience with EPCI projects, preferably involving offshore processing platforms, utility modules or LQ modules.
  • Familiarity with Middle East offshore project requirements is advantageous
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of offshore HVAC codes: ASHRAE, ISO, IECEx/ATEX for hazardous areas.
  • Experience reviewing ITPs, FAT procedures, QA/QC documents and vendor data packages.
  • Ability to interpret engineering deliverables: P&IDs, D&IDs, layouts, spec sheets.
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong quality and compliance mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple vendor packages.
